Imaginarium is calling to me once again. For the second straight year, I’ll be serving as a guest expert on writing panels at this Louisville, Kentucky-based event on the first weekend of October.
Imaginaium Convention 2017 will be held at Ramada Plaza Hotel and Conference Center Friday, Oct. 6 to Sunday, Oct. 8. The event is centered entirely around creative writing, including the worlds of books, movies, gaming, music and comics/graphic novels. Imaginarium Convention features panels and workshops presented by more than 150 professional guests covering everything from the craft of writing to various genres, industry-specific topics, publishing, and social media/publicity. The convention features a film festival with a full array of awards, a masquerade/costume contest, gaming, an expo open to the general public, an awards banquet, a series of literary awards called the Imadjinns, and many more activities, creating a welcoming, inclusive atmosphere that is content-rich and ideal for networking, promotion and personal development.
I will serve as an expert for the following panels: Finding Inspiration for Stories, 5 p.m. Friday; Non-Fiction, 10 a.m. Saturday; Fantastic First Lines, 3 p.m. Sunday.
My wife, Kimberly S. Hoffman, will serve as a panel expert for the first time this year. Her first book, “Emma’s Dancing Day,” published in December.
Stop by and say hi, learn something, have fun!
