The return of authors fairs in underway. The pandemic scuttled a lot of these events, where a load of local authors set up shop at libraries with their books and chat with patrons … and hopefully sell a few books along the way.
Both my wife and I have been invited to attend a local authors fair in Whiteland, Indiana, on March 11. The fair, featuring 27 authors, will be conducted from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Clark Pleasant Branch of the Johnson County Public Library, 350 Clearwater Blvd., Whiteland, IN 46184. Info: 317-535-6206.
Kimberly will have a selection of her children’s books available, and I will have both of my titles: Murder in Wauwatosa: The Mysterious Death of Buddy Schumacher and Wicked Columbus, Indiana. The array of authors covers many genres.
If you saw us the last time we participated in this event, don’t go where you saw us then. Since then (2019), they’ve put up a brand-new building in a different location. The 17,200-square-foot building opened in early March 2022 on U.S. 31 just south of Whiteland Road. The old, 10,000-square-foot building was just east of U.S. 31 on Tracy Road.
