You want to know all about me? Of course not. There is darkness. Somewhere. I think. But if you want to know some of the good stuff, or at least some of the author stuff, read a great article on me and my authoring life on the Brave Wings magazine site. There's plenty of photographs... Continue Reading →
Brave Wings magazine story
I'm in the midst of answering lots of poignant questions about my books that will be made to make me look good on the Brave Wings magazine website. At least I trust Kyrian Lyndon to do a great job, as she always does. In fact, you should check out her site right now. Go on,... Continue Reading →
Bragging on your kids (in Ireland?)
So, where is the line demarcating being proud of your kids' accomplishments and becoming an annoying braggart about them? I helped explore that subject on Irish radio recently on a show called Lunchtime Live with host, Dr. Ciara Kelly, on Newstalk 106-108FM. (Although in Ireland, they don't call them "hosts," they call them "presenters." I was asked to go... Continue Reading →
Married authors at the same event? No way! Yes way.
My wife, Kimberly S. Hoffman, and I will be two of eleven authors who will be at an authors fair in New Whiteland, Indiana, on March 23. The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Clark Pleasant branch of the Johnson County Public Library. If you go, don't plug the... Continue Reading →

I don't think I said anything earth-shattering. But... Continue Reading →
Participation Poem
Recently, I was invited to provide a line or two for a community poem that my friend, author an poet Brad Bott, was heading up. A bunch of us literary types, as well as maybe other people, contributed. We sent Brad random lines that popped into our heads, not having any clue what anyone else... Continue Reading →
Keep your Pappy happy
A few photos taken prior to the Pappy Wilson Harvest Frolic at The Historic Artcraft Theatre in beautiful downtown Franklin, Indiana, on Nov. 8. I was fortunate enough to play the part of Artcraft projectionist Homer Portnoy in all three Pappy Wilson radio-style plays this year. In this production, set in the late-1940s, I conjured... Helping celebrate a birthday
Kimberly S. Hoffman and I conducted a book signing to help Wild Geese Bookshop celebrate its second birthday on Saturday, Nov. 3. There were cupcakes, balloons, a food truck and lots of books. We enjoyed it immensely. The event coincided with the Downtown Franklin Holiday Open House. So there were people everywhere ... I mean everywhere!
